The shrine is included as part of the Kumano Sanzan (\u718a\u91ce\u4e09\u5c71) in the UNESCO World Heritage site \u2018Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-47-49.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-48-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kumano Hayatama Taisha is a bit far from Shingu JR Station, it takes around 15 minutes to walk there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-48-32.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-49-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Like the other Shinto shrine, there is also a big Shinboku (\u795e\u6728; sacred tree) in Kumano Hayatama Taisha, the tree is over 800 years old, looks grand and solemn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-50-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-51-53.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The main hall of of Kumano Hayatama Taisha is painted with red and white, looks very vivid from the surrounding greenery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-52-25.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-52-39.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Kumano Hayatama Taisha is a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is admission free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-52-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014a\/2014-12-02-13-53-39.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a big wooden Benkei (\u5f01\u6176) statue inside Kumano Hayatama Taisha.
