Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plants and the numerous temples around the lake, including Pei Chi Pavilion (\u5317\u6975\u4ead) and Chi Ming Palace (\u555f\u660e\u5802).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"488\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1886.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1898.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Pei Chi Pavilion honors the Daoist deity Xuan Wu (\u7384\u6b66) under the honorific \u2018God-Emperor of the North Pole\u2019. According to legend, Xuan Wu spoke through mediums to order the building of this pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1907.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1942.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The pavilion itself is 72 meters tall and made from grout, it claims to have the highest water statues in Southeast Asia. The place of worship and office of the temple is under the statue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1955.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-1919.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Located in the west and facing the east, Chi Ming Palace was rebuilt in 1973 as a three-story, palace-style grand architecture; it is the most spectacular temple by Lotus Pond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-2074.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-2082.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a Nine-Dragon Wall (\u4e5d\u9f8d\u58c1) inside the temple, the colors of the wall is exaggeratedly vivid, looks so funny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-2081.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101128-2093.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Chi Ming Palace is mainly for the worship of the two sages, Confucius (\u5b54\u5b50) and Lord Guan (\u95dc\u5e1d).
