The reserve comprises an area of approximately 468 square kilometers, Choumeizai will talk about the macaques seen here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130516-1233-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130516-1229-6.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Macaques constitute a genus (Macaca) of gregarious Old World monkeys of the subfamily Cercopithecinae. The 23 species of macaques inhabit ranges throughout Asia, North Africa, and Gibraltar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1650-4.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20130515-1648-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4646\" srcset=\"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20130515-1648-5.jpg 650w, https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/20130515-1648-5-510x340.jpg 510w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Macaques are principally frugivorous (preferring fruit), although their diet also includes seeds, leaves, flowers, and tree bark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1654-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1653.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The macaques in Tabin Wildlife Reserve are very smart, they know the time when the electric fences are turned off, and sneak into the palm farm to eat the fruits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1749.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1756.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>African oil palm is native to west and southwest Africa, specifically the area between Angola and Gambia.
