The name \u2018snakebird\u2019 refers to their long thin neck, which has a snake-like appearance when they swim with their bodies submerged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-0954-7.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-0956-4.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Falcons are birds of prey in the genus Falco, they are widely distributed on all continents of the world except Antarctica. Adult falcons have thin, tapered wings, which enable them to fly at high speed and change direction rapidly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130514-1406.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1736.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Falcons prey on small animals such as fishes, rabbits or other small birds, but in Borneo, some small falcons will prey on insects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1742-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1743.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hornbills (Bucerotidae) are characterized by a long, down-curved bill which is frequently brightly colored. The common English name of these birds refers to their horn shaped bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1748.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2013\/20130515-1844-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hornbills are omnivorous, feeding on fruit and small animals. They are monogamous breeders nesting in natural cavities in trees and sometimes cliffs.
