The tomb was built in 1570, it created a precedent for future Mughal architecture of royal mausolea, which reached its zenith with the Taj Mahal (\u0924\u093e\u091c \u092e\u0939\u0932).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-14-58.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-10-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The tomb, built of rubble masonry and red sandstone, uses white marble as a cladding material and also for the flooring, lattice screens , door frames, eaves and for the main dome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-17-43.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-20-49.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Humayun (6 March 1508 \u2013 27 January 1556) was the second emperor of the Mughal Empire, who ruled over territory in what is now Afghanistan, Pakistan, Northern India, and Bangladesh from 1530 to 1540 and again from 1555 to 1556.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-15-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2017\/20170128-15-16-24.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Humayun's tomb was built by the orders of his first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum (\u092c\u0947\u0917\u093e \u092c\u0947\u0917\u092e).
