They are home to a famous complex of Taoist (\u9053\u6559) temples associated with the god Xuanwu (\u7384\u6b66). Xuanwu is a powerful deity in Chinese religion, one of the higher-ranking deities in Taoism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-16-21-19.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-16-02-26.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The first site of worship in Wudang Mountains was constructed in the Tang Dynasty (618 to 907), while the largest complex on the mountain was built during the Ming dynasty (1468 \u2013 1644).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-16-03-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-16-04-10.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wudang Mountains is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its long history and fantastic scenery.
