They are home to a famous complex of Taoist (\u9053\u6559) temples associated with the god Xuanwu (\u7384\u6b66). Here Choumeizai will talk about Zixiao Palace (\u7d2b\u9704\u5bae).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-36-56.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-44-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Zixiao Palace, literally means \u2018Purple Cloud Palace\u2019, standing on Zhanqi Peak (\u5c55\u65d7\u5cf0), is one of the main Taoist temple of Wudang Mountains Taoist complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-27-09.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-44-20.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Zixiao Palace was built in the Song (\u5b8b) Dynasty (1119 - 1126), then rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty (1413) and extended in the Qing Dynasty (1803 - 1820).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-36-04.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-51-47.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Zixiao Palace is still preserved well, it consists of several Taoist halls including Zixiao Hall (\u7d2b\u9704\u6bbf), the main hall of Zixiao Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-15-13-19.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-15-00-42.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Zixiao Hall is enshrined with statues of Xuanwu at different stages of his life, however, taking photos is not allowed inside Zixiao Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-14-57-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/hubei_2015\/20150511-15-03-38.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is said that Tai chi (\u592a\u6975) was originated from Zixiao Palace.
