Buddhist temples are everywhere in Luang Phabang, Choumeizai will talk about Wat Xieng Thong (\u0ea7\u0eb1\u0e94\u0e8a\u0ebd\u0e87\u0e97\u0ead\u0e87).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1711-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1737-2.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat Xieng Thong is one of the most important of Lao Buddhist temples and remains a significant monument to the spirit of religion, royalty and traditional art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1720.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1720-2.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wat Xieng Thong means \u2018Temple of the Golden City\u2019 in Lao. Wat Xieng Thong was built under the rule of King Setthathirath (\u0ec0\u0eaa\u0e94\u0e96\u0eb2\u0e97\u0eb4\u0ea3\u0eb2\u0e94) between 1559 and 1560.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1729.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/laos_2012\/20120930-1730.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The interior of the main hall is similarly adorned by gold stenciling.
