Tapsa literally means \u2018Pagoda Temple\u2019 in Korean, which has around 80 stone pagodas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-45-16.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-50-24.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Maisan is famous for its autumn scenery, while Tapsa is the most popular tourist attraction in Maisan, tourists are everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-45-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-59-00.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All temples are connected by stairs and trails, you can walk around easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-51-21.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-10-50-05.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1885, a lone Buddhist hermit layman Yi Gap Yong (1860\u20131957) came to Maisan to meditate and cultivate himself, then he piled as many as 120 conical natural stone pagodas over the next 30 years, all without mortar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-11-00-46.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/korea_2019\/20191103-11-01-23.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Yi Gap Yong piled the stones, one by one, without the aid of mechanical devices or assistance.
