Confectionery stores including penny candy stores flank both sides of the street, a place which can arouse your memory of childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014\/2014-02-18-14-24-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014\/2014-02-18-14-24-16.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The origin of Kashiya Yokocho dates back to 1796, when Tozaemon Suzuki (\u9234\u6728\u85e4\u5de6\u885b\u9580) started to produce simple candies in the present location of Kashiya Yokocho. Later, the number of stores increased by sharing goodwill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014\/2014-02-18-14-26-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2014\/2014-02-18-14-31-19.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the Great Kanto Earthquake, this street manufactured and shipped Edo style candies instead of devastated Tokyo.
