Shoren-in temple is one of the five Monzeki (\u9580\u8de1) temples of the Tendai (\u5929\u53f0) sect in Kyoto. Sh\u014dren-in is famous for its scenery in autumn, especially at night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2013a\/2013-11-25-20-39-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2013a\/2013-11-25-19-30-51.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>All tourists must follow the route designated by the temple, and need to go inside the main hall first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2013a\/2013-11-25-20-37-53.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/japan_2013a\/2013-11-25-19-45-41.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Monzeki (\u9580\u8de1) were Japanese Buddhist priests of aristocratic or imperial lineage.
