In the Ming Dynasty (1271-1368), Shuidonggou Site was a military defense base along the Great Wall of China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1127-4.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1135.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Troops Hidden Cave (\u85cf\u5175\u6d1e) was one of the military facilities built to defend against the northern nomadic tribes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1136-2.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1158-2.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Troops Hidden Cave was located at the south of the Ming Great Wall, which was used for hiding soldiers and as a base for sneak attacks on invaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1137.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1143.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The cave has all kinds of military facilities including galleries, observatories, weapons storeroom, lounges, meeting rooms and kitchens for generals and soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1150-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1152.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Troops Hidden Cave is incredibly large, tourists will also be surprised by its labyrinth-like structure and excellent design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1149-2.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1204-3.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are so many hidden traps inside the cave, but all of them are covered or deactivated, don\u2019t worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1206.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/ningxia_2013\/20130407-1209.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Not too far from the cave is the passage of Hongshan Fortress (\u7d05\u5c71\u5821).
