The culture of Kerala is a synthesis of Aryan, Arab, and European cultures and developed over millennia, Kerala folklore museum is an ideal place for tourists to get a glimpse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-18-37-06.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-45-08.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>These waist drums and bracelets are the costumes of Theyyam (\u0d24\u0d46\u0d2f\u0d4d\u0d2f\u0d02). Theyyam is a popular ritual form of dance worship in Kerala State and Karnataka (\u0d15\u0d7c\u0d23\u0d3e\u0d1f\u0d15) State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-00-11.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-02-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The second floor of the museum is unexpectedly huge, which displays some exhibits in bigger sizes, like the decoration of the elephant\u2019s head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-13-36.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-12-44.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the exhibits come from Karnataka State, this state was also part of the Kerala Kingdom, which shared a similar culture with Kerala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-15-30.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-18-59.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the exhibition halls displays the whole costumes of Theyyam, colorful and delicate. The people of Kerala and  Karnataka consider Theyyam itself as a channel to a God and they thus seek blessings from Theyyam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-20-25.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/india_2016\/20160212-19-19-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Theyyam consisted of several thousand-year-old traditions, rituals and customs.
