{"id":2810,"date":"2020-11-29T20:30:09","date_gmt":"2020-11-29T12:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/?p=2810"},"modified":"2020-11-29T20:30:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-29T12:30:28","slug":"diamond-hill-in-tainan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/info.thetravel.me\/en\/diamond-hill-in-tainan\/","title":{"rendered":"Diamond hill in Tainan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Cigu Salt Pan (Chinese: \u4e03\u80a1\u9e7d\u5834) is located  in Tainan (\u53f0\u5357) Taiwan, it is the last and biggest salt pan in Taiwan, the last time it operated was May of 2002, now it has turned to a popular tourist attraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1132.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1145.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a big shiny salt hill inside Cigu Salt Pan, tourists can climb up the mountain by the steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1178.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1203.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the lookout on the top of the salt hill, you can view the whole Cigu Salt Pan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1193.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1189.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The salt hill also has a slope for salt skiing, Choumeizai hasn\u2019t skied, but brings two salt crystals for souvenirs instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1214.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1213.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>A salt made hut sits next to the salt hill, near the hut there are some old tractors, they have already retired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1188.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1194.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to taste the salt in Cigu Salt Pan, you can buy some snacks in the food stalls scattered around the salt hill. Choumeizai has tried the dried cuttlefish grilled by the salt crystals, so delicious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1167.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2010\/20101127-1166.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Not far from the salt mountain there is a museum which looks like a white pyramid.
