Qixia Mountain has many scenic spots and historical sites, it is famous for red leaves in autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-095324.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-094555.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Qixia Mountain provides transportation, one way ticket costs 10 RMB per person, but the arrangement of queuing is a bit messy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-100526.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-101837.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Qixia Mountain is not big, it takes only 10 minutes to reach the peak, from the lookout you can view almost the whole Qixia Mountain, just a bit hazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-103645.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-103156.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a Qixia cottage (\u68f2\u971e\u7cbe\u820d) in the mountain in the Southern Dynasties (\u5357\u671d; 420\u2013589), that\u2019s how the mountain got its name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-112755.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-110030.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Qixia Mountain is only 22km from the downtown of Nanking city, many locals will come here on weekends and Sundays, making it a bit noisy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-111227.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-113946.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>At the lower part of the mountain there is a place called \u2018Royal Garden\u2019, it was said that every time when Qianlong Emperor visited Qixia Mountain, he would live here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-113839.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-115131.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Qianfoya (\u5343\u4f5b\u5d16) grottos next to the Qixia Temple (\u68f2\u971e\u5bfa) has over 1,500 years old, another famous attraction in Qixia Mountain, but the statues and relieves look so shabby due to their long history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-122824.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangsu_2011\/1128-122246.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/china_taiwan\/travel_jiangsu_11_00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jiangnan's Water Towns 2011 (Chinese only)<\/a><\/h4>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Qixia Mountain (Chinese: \u68f2\u971e\u5c71) is a mountain in the northeast part of Nanjing (\u5357\u4eac), Jiangsu (\u6c5f\u8607) Province , China.
