It is situated in the Meiling Mountains (\u6885\u5dba) and forms the boundary between the provinces of Jiangxi (\u6c5f\u897f) and Guangdong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-162307.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-164736.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Most tourists visit Mei Pass in winter, when the plum blossoms are in full bloom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-162937.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-164408.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Nowadays, around 8 kilometres of the Tang (\u5510) road and most of the Song (\u5b8b) fortifications are still extant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-162548.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/jiangxi_2011\/110205-170444.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The surviving fortifications have the words \"Majestic pass of Nanyue\" (\u5357\u7ca4\u96c4\u95dc) carved on the northern side and \"First pass of Lingnan\" (\u5dba\u5357\u7b2c\u4e00\u95dc) carved on the other side.
