There is a small \u2018Mon Village\u2019 next to a hotel in Kanchanaburi (\u0e01\u0e32\u0e0d\u0e08\u0e19\u0e1a\u0e38\u0e23\u0e35) Province, which can tell you a bit about this fading tribe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/bangkok_2011\/20110607-6926.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/bangkok_2011\/20110607-6921.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mon were a source of influence on the culture of Myanmar and Thailand. The Mon culture is similar to Myanmar\u2019s, Mon women also like to put the powder of Thanaka (Burmease: \u101e\u1014\u1015\u103a\u1001\u102b\u1038) on their faces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/bangkok_2011\/20110607-6863.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/bangkok_2011\/20110607-6874.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Mon were responsible for the spread of Theravada Buddhism in Mainland Southeast Asia.
