Potala Palace has been a World Heritage Site since 1994, it is the religious center of Tibet and a popular tourist attraction. Blessed by Buddha, Choumeizai sees \u2018Buddha Light\u2019 (halo) while climbing to Potala Palace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/tibet_2018\/20180523-13-22-35.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/tibet_2018\/20180523-13-20-47.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Halo is the name for a family of optical phenomena produced by light (typically from the Sun or Moon) interacting with ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/tibet_2018\/20180523-13-12-01.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/tibet_2018\/20180523-13-12-18.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Potala Palace sits on the top of Marpo Ri, the \u2018Red Hill\u2019, rising more than 100 metres above the ground.
