At Pier 39, there are shops, restaurants, aquariums and even an amusement park, but for Choumeizai, the most impressive is the special aboriginals here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-33-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-51-12.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The weather today is excellent, families are everywhere, the air is full of joy. From the pier one can see Angel Island, Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the scenery is beautiful, especially under the crystal clear sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-50-31.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-40-14.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are not so many people at the end of the pier but a lot of California sea lions, that\u2019s why it smells quite fishy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-42-59.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-44-51.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>California sea lions started to haul out on docks of Pier 39 in September 1989. Before that they mostly used Seal Rock for that purpose. Ever since September 1989 the number of sea lions on Pier 39 has generally increased.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-48-49.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-40-35.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people speculate that sea lions moved to Pier 39 because of the Loma Prieta earthquake, but the earthquake occurred months after the first sea lions had arrived there, so it is likely that the sea lions feel safer inside the Bay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-45-48.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-51-44.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the first time Choumeizai has seen the immigration of sea lions, but if you think deeper, they are the genuine aboriginals of San Francisco Bay, Americans are just immigrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/usa_2018\/20180402-06-47-30.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/northamerica\/travel_usa_18_00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">West coast of USA 2018 (Chinese only)<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pier 39 is a shopping center and popular tourist attraction built on a pier in San Francisco, California.
