Due to strong monsoon and erosion,  the rock formations here are strange and beautiful, Elephant Trunk Rock (\u8c61\u9f3b\u5ca9) is amongst the most spectacular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-10-52.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-22-46.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the car park, you need to walk a while to reach Elephant Trunk Rock, the scenery alongshore is pretty good, which makes you feel like you are on another planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-14-26.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-21-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Elephant Trunk Rock is almost at the end of the cape, both shape and texture look like a giant elephant, even you can find eye and ear if you input more imaginations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-26-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-21-27.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There is no railing on the Elephant Trunk Rock, be very careful if you want to climb on the rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-21-35.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-24-57.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>From the top of the rock, you can see the horizon of Pacific Ocean and Keelung Islet (\u57fa\u9686\u5dbc), the scenery is beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-19-29.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-24-36.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Since Cape ShenAo is still not a formal tourist spot yet, there is no shop around here, only a few hawkers selling natural gelatin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-39-40.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2016\/20160703-15-37-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/china_taiwan\/travel_taiwan_16_00.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Summer of New Taipei 2016 (Chinese only)<\/a><\/h4>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cape ShenAo (Chinese: \u6df1\u6fb3\t\u5cac\u89d2) is located in Ruifang District (\u745e\u82b3\u5340), New Taipei City (\u65b0\u5317\u5e02), Taiwan.
