Kampung Buli Sim Sim is the origin of Sandakan, besides the delicious seafood, the scenery of the water village is also beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-102546.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-082636.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The shoal around Kampung Buli Sim Sim is filled with garbage and sewage, the whole village is quite smelly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-103524.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-110247.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kampung Buli Sim Sim has over 150 years of history, so the layout of the village is old and complicated, tourists are easy to get lost in the maze formed by intercrossing plank walkways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-101859.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-102021.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The village is close to the sea, fishery is the main industry of the locals. There was a big seafood market in Kampung Buli Sim Sim, but now it has been turned into several seafood restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-102302.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-104650.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As Sandakan has been dominated by the Cantonese Chinese, you can hear Cantonese everywhere in Kampung Buli Sim Sim. As a Hongkonger who speaks Cantonese, it is strange but amiable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-105023.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-104848.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The wooden houses are so dense in the village, Choumeizai feels so stuffy, so he escapes to the seashore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-100251.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/sabah_2012\/0109-094157.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>There are not so many garbages at the seashore, the scenery is beautiful, a big difference from the shabby village.
