The real name of Army Duck is DUKW (colloquially known as Duck), it is a six-wheel-drive amphibious truck used by the U.S. military during World War II and the Korean War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/australia_2015\/20150928-09-08-46.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/australia_2015\/20150928-09-13-05.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The rainforest tour is around 45 minute, the driver and the guide Duck Captain will identify and explain the plants and wildlife as Army Duck passes by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/australia_2015\/20150928-09-31-23.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/australia_2015\/20150928-09-32-21.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Gympie (Dendrocnide moroides) is one of the most interesting plants which is common to rainforest areas in the north east of Australia. It has stinging hairs which cover the whole plant and deliver a potent neurotoxin when touched.
