Christchurch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Christchurch is the largest city in the South Island of New Zealand and its urban area lies on the South Island's east coast.The large number of public parks and well-developed residential gardens with many trees has given Christchurch the name of \u2018The Garden City\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-13-54-11.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-03-31.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Christchurch is the oldest city in New Zealand, it has many historical sites which can date back to 100 years ago, Edmonds Clock Tower is one of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-11-33.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-08-48.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Edmonds Clock Tower was built in 1929, which was dedicated to Thomas Edmond, a philanthropist and businessman in Christchurch. The clock tower looks elegant but it has been destroyed by the Canterbury earthquake in 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-08-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Avon River flows through the centre of the city of Christchurch, trees flank along the riverside and the scenery is beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-09-02.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div than Choumeizai expects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" the statue of Queen Victoria, there is Bowker Fountain, the fountain will light up at night and the light will change colors also, looks fantastic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-26-26.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Bowker Fountain was constructed in 1931, funded by a jeweler named Bowker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-22-42.webp\" with many characteristic shops and restaurants, but all shops close in the evening, only a few restaurants are still open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/newzealand_2019\/20190907-14-47-45.webp\" Regent Street was established in the early 20th century, it is the oldest shopping center in Christchurch, old buildings flank along both sides of the street, looks so interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div
