It is one of the masterpieces of Antoni Gaud\u00ed, it was built for a wealthy widow named Roser Segim\u00f3n and her husband Pere Mil\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-42-21.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-37-57.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The living area is just one floor below the loft, the inside decor has been changed several times, but there are still some retro furnitures inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-35-55.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-36-34.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time when Casa Mila was completed, the first floor were shops, third, fourth and fifth floor were apartments for lease, Pere Mil\u00e0 and his wife lived on the second floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-27-38.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-31-22.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Casa Mil\u00e0 is characterized by its self-supporting stone facade, meaning that it is free of load-bearing walls, which allows bigger windows and free structuring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-29-19.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-28-07.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>All rooms in Casa Mila have two windows, one faces attic while another one faces the street, which introduces the natural sunlight from both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-41-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Gaudi applied constant curves in the design of Casa Mila on both outside and inside, incorporating ruled geometry and naturalistic elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-22-51.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/spain_2019\/20190423-21-43-47.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Casa Mila has been changing its ownership several times.
