Cape Santiago is one of the stops of Old Caoling Bikeway Loop (Chinese: \u820a\u8349\u5dba\u74b0\u72c0\u7dda\u81ea\u884c\u8eca\u9053), the best way to visit Cape Santiago is riding bicycle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2019\/20190630-14-58-06.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2019\/20190630-15-01-57.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1626, a Spanish fleet reached the northeast tip of Taiwan and named a native village(present-day Fulong Village) as Santiago. Later this name was extended to the nearby cape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2019\/20190630-15-26-43.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/taiwan_2019\/20190630-15-10-50.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Cape Santiago is located on the northeast coast of Taiwan, the waves and wind are extremely strong due to lack of shelter.
