Torture Dungeon in San Gimignano"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>San Gimignano is a small walled medieval hill town in Tuscany, north-central Italy, the scenery of this small town is amazing, but for Choumeizai, the most impressive is the horrendous \u2018torture\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-22-01-51.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Museum of Torture (Italian:Museo della torture) is located in a small building next to the main gate of the town, very easy to miss it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-51-13.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-59-49.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The admission fee is 10 Euro per person, quite expensive, the first \u2018torture\u2019 has already begun even before getting in, terrible indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-52-15.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-54-24.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The museum is not big, but the atmosphere is gloomy and spooky, more horrible, the whole museum only has one visitor, Choumeizai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-22-00-45.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-55-35.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The museum displays many medieval torture instruments such as guillotine, crucifix and Iron Maiden, you can feel the pain of the people being tortured even by looking only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"433\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-52-23.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-59-03.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The end of the museum stands a masked man, Choumeizai suspects that he is an actor or a kind of stunt to scare the visitors, but it doesn\u2019t look as he thinks when getting close, at last Choumeizai still doesn\u2019t dare to confirm, leaving it a mystery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thetravel.me\/images-webp\/italy_2016\/20160606-21-54-54.webp\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The dungeon is a real torture room which has been used in the past, the cruelest torture is starving a man in a extremely small space, the wall are covered with countless scratches from the hopeless dead men, very horrible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"650\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Perhaps the most horrible thing is, all these exhibits are not just stage props, but the real torture instruments which has been imposed on human bodies, human
